Dwiedar Backup

A private, operator-controlled backup and recovery utility for Dwiedar Marketing.

Dwiedar Backup is an internal desktop workflow used by authorized Dwiedar Marketing staff to create encrypted backups of explicitly selected business files into a company-controlled Google Drive account, and to restore them when required.

Current status: Limited internal pilot. Encryption, cloud upload, integrity checks, and restoration have been tested with synthetic files only. Production backup schedules have not been activated.

How it works

An authorized operator selects files for a backup.
Restic encrypts backup content locally before it is sent to Google Drive.
Rclone uses OAuth to access backup files created and managed through this app in the authorized Google Drive account.
Operators can verify repository integrity and restore files when recovery is needed.

Google Drive permissions

Google Drive OAuth permission https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file is requested to create, access, and manage files used with the application. Dwiedar Backup does not request unrestricted access to all existing Google Drive files.

Who can use this tool?

This is not an open public service. It is used only by company-authorized operators with permission to use the connected Google account and local backup tools.

Data protection

Backup content is encrypted on the operator's device before upload. The backup decryption password is kept separately from the cloud backup files. Google OAuth credentials are held in locally encrypted configuration, not published on this website.
