Dwiedar Backup Privacy Policy
How Dwiedar Backup accesses, uses, encrypts, stores, and deletes data associated with Google Drive.
This policy covers Dwiedar Backup, an internal desktop backup utility operated by Dwiedar Marketing. It does not describe the separate TikTok publishing application hosted on the main company website.
What we access
- Google Drive OAuth authorization: the app uses the Google Drive API with the
drive.filescope to create and manage files it is authorized to use. - Files created by the backup workflow: encrypted repository objects, associated filenames/identifiers, file metadata, and operational information needed for upload, verification, and restoration.
- Locally selected files: company-authorized source files chosen by the operator for backup. The tool is not designed to browse unrelated personal Drive files.
Purposes of use
We access Google Drive data solely to perform and maintain encrypted backup, integrity verification, and authorized restoration. We do not use Google user data for advertising, resale, or unrelated profiling, and do not sell Google user data.
Where data is stored and secured
- Selected backup content is encrypted locally using Restic before upload to the company-authorized Google Drive account.
- Encrypted repository files reside in Google Drive, subject to Google's storage infrastructure and the owner's account settings.
- OAuth tokens and connection settings are retained in an encrypted local Rclone configuration on the authorized workstation; they are not embedded in public website code.
- Backup decryption credentials are maintained separately from encrypted repository data. Persons with access to both the repository and the decryption password may be able to recover the underlying content.
Sharing and disclosure
Google processes stored files under its applicable service terms. We do not deliberately share Google Drive user data with advertisers or data brokers. Access for backup and recovery is limited to company-authorized operators; disclosure may also occur when legally required.
Retention and deletion
Backup files remain in the company-authorized Google Drive account until removed by an authorized operator under the company's applicable retention and deletion decisions. No automatic retention or deletion schedule has yet been activated for production data.
An authorized Google account owner can remove the app's access through Google Account third-party connections. Revoking access stops future use of that authorization; it does not automatically delete backup files already stored in Drive. The owner can delete those files from Google Drive. To request help with access or deletion, email dwiedarmarketing@gmail.com.
Limited use of Google data
Use of information obtained from Google APIs is limited to the user-visible backup and recovery functions described here. Any material change in data use requires an updated policy and authorization as appropriate.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the backup utility or its approved data-handling practices change. This page displays the current publication date. Privacy questions: dwiedarmarketing@gmail.com.
